As you may have seen in my Christmas wishlist I was dying to get my hands on Fenty Beauty’s Stunna lip paint. I was quite skeptical about purchasing it due to the price tag however once I swatched it at the counter I knew I had to buy it!
The product is available online at the official Fenty Beauty website or online and in-store at HarveyNichols in the UK and retails for £19. This is slightly pricey however, I can assure you, you wont have another product like this in your makeup collection!
The packaging is really what makes this product stand out. It comes in a chic black box with a simplistic design on the front, adding to the luxury of the product. The bottle itself is an edged glass component with a long rose gold lid embellished with ‘Fenty Beauty’ along the side. Although the packaging is similar to Louboutin nail polish I feel it is very unique for a lipstick, making it stand out among other beauty products on the market.
The lipstick is described as A weightless, 12hr liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish – born in one head-turning red shade that looks incredible on all skin tones. The main focus of the Fenty line is to be suitable for every person and I truly believe this is a universal red. It also states that it has a one stroke intensity due to the unrivaled precision wand. I also think the wand is a selling point for this lippy. It has a rounded applicator compared to a typical doe foot applicator found on the majority of lipsticks. The roundness of the brush allows you to have more control of the product, letting you to create the perfect shape without the need of a lip liner. The applicator also glides on very smoothly and one stroke is really all you need!
As you can see from the swatch it is the perfect red shade. The formula is highly pigmented so there is no need to build it up and the product does not apply streaky.
Once onto the lips it dries down to a soft-matte but not cakey formula, it is so comfortable to wear which is the difficulty I have when finding a liquid lipstick! The product also doesn’t bleed so there is no need for a lip liner- saving you money as well! As I mentioned previously it states a 12HR wear, I feel like this is a huge claim for any lipstick, however it does last a good 6+ hours (even whilst eating!) before a touch up is required. The only downside is that it slightly transfers however it doesn’t leave it patchy on our lips.
I’d 100% recommend this product to everyone. Not only does it suit every skin tone it is unique and highly pigmented, by far the best liquid lipstick I’ve used!
Let me know if you’ve tried the Stunna Lip paint or anything else from the Fenty collection I need to get my hands on!
